Resolved, That the Secretary of the General Convention send this greeting to the Moderator of the Church of South India and all CSI congregations in the United States.
Explanation
Church of South India congregations emerged in the United States in the 1970’s after a change in immigration law permitted immigrants from India to settle in the United States. Congregations continue to be sanctuaries for new immigrants arriving from India. This resolution seeks to build relationships between the Episcopal Church and these immigrant churches, as a source of blessing for both.
